cabocpasac Luke Timothy Johnson is Robert W. Woodruff Professor of New Testament and Christian Origins in the Candler School of Theology at Emory University. His research interests include Greco-Roman contexts of early Christianity (particularly moral discourse), Luke-Acts, the Pastoral Letters, and the Letters of James. Professor Johnson is the author of 19 books, including The Writings of the New Testament: An Interpretation; A Commentary on the Gospel of Luke; Reading Romans: A Literary and Theological Commentary; and Living Jesus: Learning the Heart of the Gospels. In addition, he has written numerous articles and book reviews.
Johnson wrote Reading Romans, a commentary on the book of Romans that was used in the Bible study, as well as The Acts of the Apostles, which is currently being used.
